What is a Healthy Weight Loss Goal Per Week?

How much weight can you lose in a week? I mean healthy and reasonable goal. I weigh 186 lbs and I want to go down to 140 lbs. Any healthy weight loss tips? I don’t want to lose weight extremely fast then gain it all back very quickly. So, don’t recommend the unnatural ways such as starve myself a few days, take diet pills, I don’t want these. Thanks.

  1. lbs says:

Well, 1 – 2 lbs a week is a healthy weight loss goal. You said you want to lose 186 -140 = 46 lbs, it will take you 5 – 7 months to get rid of it.
About exercise. Combine running with dumbbell exercises, this is the most simple weight loss exercise plan. If you want to get the best result, run in the morning right after you wake up. It is the best time to burn body fat. Run every other day or more times per week, that’s up to you, but make sure you rest well. You can do dumbbell workouts in the afternoon. One day for training upper body, and the following day for lower body, this should be fine.
About diet. eating balance diet is important, include carbs, protein, fat, fiber, minerals, vitamins. You need all these things. But you should reduce the total calories you eat per day, and cut back those unhealthy foods such as soda, candy, pizza, fried fast food.
Just remember a simple rule, if you want to lose 1 lbs of fat, you need to burn 3500 calories. So, work out more, eat less.
