The benefits are – you piss more. Lol, just a joke.

There are two opinions.
1, Most people believe that drinking lots of water can fill the stomach and gut, make you feel full, or you may say the water trick the body, this decrease your appetite, so the calorie intake is cut down, and it finally help you lose some pounds. And the water can also flush out the toxin, and other bad things, keep your body fresh, this benefit your health, you will feel better.
2, Some others have a different opinion, they say that drinking plenty of water has little effect on weight loss, the clinical implications are slight.

So, drinking lots of water do help you flush out bad things and keep you healthier. But does it really benefit your weight loss? Try it yourself.
