Is it better to eat before or after workout to lose weight?

I am trying to reduce about 20 pounds of body weight so that I can get slimmer waist and thighs. I am wondering is it better to eat something before or after I workout if I am looking to lose weight on waist and thighs? What’s your opinion about this?

    Eating something before exercise give you energy to workout. However, you should just eat something light, such as a piece of fruit, protein shake, because exercise with an full stomach will harm yourself.
    If you want to exercise with an empty stomach, it’s better to go light workout.
    If you want to exercise after a big meal, wait for 1 – 3 hours so that your digestive system has enouth time to digest your eating.
    I think it’s OK to eat after your workout.
    Try both and see which works better for you.
    To lose weight, Cardio+Weight Training+6 Small Meals Per Day+Water is good way to go.
