Dieting but not losing weight, help

I am trying to lose weight by dieting, I only eat no more than 1000 calories a day, it’s been one week now, but I still weigh the same, am i doing something wrong? What can I do to lose a few pounds in a month? Please help me out.

    1000 calories a day is too low, I remember I read some info about this on another health website. They say a woman need at least 1200 calories a day, a man need 1500 calories a day.
    Try to find some interval training plan, then follow it, exercising can speed up weight loss.
